The Role

As an Executive, you will analyze local petroleum and energy markets to identify potential opportunities that aligns with the strengths of the group, keep track and records of tenders and shipments and projects, and oversee KYC’s, compliance and logistics and maintain key stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth transactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee oil and energy trading activities, monitoring market trends, and providing research and reports to support strategic decisions and identify opportunities and risks.
• Manage logistics operations, track shipments, negotiate contracts, ensure compliance, and handle shipping documentation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the partners, negotiating terms, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies by sharing market insights, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of trading and logistics activities, ensuring compliance with policies, and prepare reports for stakeholders while supporting audits to meet industry standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Advance Level qualification and/ or higher education qualification related to Logistics, Business Management. 
• 3+ years of experience in oil trading, logistics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of global oil markets, commodity pricing, and trading practices.
• Should be a Collaborative team player
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• A very good knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Good PR, Communication skills with a passion for work.
• Living in Colombo district would be advantageous.
