The Role

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the logistics and supply chain functions, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of Sea Freight, Airfreight, Haulage, Customs Brokerage and Warehousing & Distribution processes.
• Contract/rate/price negotiation and manage an excellent relationship with Shipping Lines, Airlines, Trucking companies and other vendors.    
• Develop and implement strategies for cost-effective logistics solutions and improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors and international partners to ensure exceptional service delivery to clients.
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance and processes, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international Regulations and Standards.
• Strong understanding of Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Customs Regulations and evolving changes and challenges in the industry, at local and global level.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in Freight, Logistics, or a related field.
• Should be a Collaborative team player.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• A very good knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Good PR, Communication skills with a passion for work.
• Living in Colombo/Gampaha districts would be advantageous.
